The beginning ...

My name is Rikke Cecilie, I live in Norway and have three female Border Collies.

I grew up in a family deeply involved with dogs, and as a child I traveled all over Europe with my family, attending countless dog shows and showing the dogs of my parents. We had Rough Collies, Brittany and Shiba Inu.

Family holidays were rarely without some kind of dog activity, wheter it was visiting breeders, showing dogs, or welcoming a new litter of puppies at home.

My first dog was a Rough Collie, originally owned by my mother, and later entrusted to me. Her name was "Tina", Lundecock's Illicit Blizz, and she later inspire both the name of my first Border Collie puppy "Blizz" and the prefix of my kennel "Illizit".

A Tale of a Girl, a Photo and a Puppy

In 2011, my family took our annual trip to the UK to attend Crufts, where I happened to walk past the Border Collie ring. I was instantly captivated by the breed, and ended up sitting ringside for the entire day. I had always dreamed of owning a Border Collie, but as a child my parents never allowed it.

Without even knowing it, I picked out the Best of Breed winner for that day, and later showed my mum a photo of “Sylvester,” Danari De Beers, saying: “I want a puppy from this dog.”

In May 2012, a beautiful litter was born in England from
Sh Ch Tonkory Lightning Strikes Jaydean and
Sh Ch Aus Ch Danari De Beers, and a few months later, “Blizz” - Jaydean Nordic Blizzard - was on her way to Norway.

From My First Litter to the European Open Agility

The years passed, and Blizz and I achieved great success at shows across Europe and Scandinavia, ultimately earning the International Champion title. Alongside the show ring, we also competed in obedience, agility, and rally obedience, and attended weekend herding courses.

When it was time for Blizz to have her own litter, I chose a stunning male bred in Australia, but living in Poland, named Trucharm My Brillantino Tale, “Bolek”.

It was my first Border Collie litter, and I ended up keeping a beautiful puppy named Acme. She proved herself to be extremely successful in the show ring, and has earned multiple titles, placed at major shows like Crufts, and won Top Winning Border Collie in Norway. She never puts a paw wrong in the ring and truly enjoys the atmosphere, which makes showing her an absolute joy.

She is an exceptional Border Collie with an incredible work ethic, tackling everything I introduce to her with great enthusiasm. Yet, in her mind, nothing compares to agility.

In 2024 and 2025, Acme became a member of the Norwegian National Team in agility, and our circle was beautifully completed when we attended the European Open Agility in England in the summer of 2024. The country where it all began! â€‹

How about that? A puppy from my first litter has placed at the worlds largest dog show, Crufts, earned a spot on the national team in Agility for two consecutive years, and has participated at the worlds largest championship in agility, The European Open.

This is truly a legacy I hope to continue with the litters and puppies I will produce in the future - and I am proud to have Acme's name in my pedigrees.
